Little moments that often go unnoticed

Today we are talking about little moments and details.

The ones that maybe not everyone else notices, but that are interesting to ourselves.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE START TO NOTICE THE FINER DETAILS?

There is value in capturing the seemingly insignificant moments that make up our daily lives.

These little details and passing moments can define us, because when strung together, they reveal our true selves. How we spend our time, what makes us feel alive, and what matters to us most.

Being open to taking notice of the finer details within our day to day lives will make space for more mindfulness and help us to also become more grounded in our surroundings.

If you often feel like you have nothing to document or that your life isn’t interesting enough to record, remember that every detail can tell a story. It can be as small as the pattern of raindrops on a window or a snapshot of your regular daily routines.

Look closely for glimmers, because they are all around you and beauty and interest can be found everywhere, even in the mundane.

This week our creative team member San is sharing tips about photographing life’s little moments and details, exclusively for our premium subscribers.

If you’re at a stage in your life where you are finding it difficult thinking of things to document or are stuck in a rut at knowing what to photograph, San has some fun tips such as:

  • What to photograph

  • Changing your perspective

  • Details that you can train your eye to seek out
