This week we’ve dipped our toes into the “Color Play event” at Oscraps and also into the ocean, so to speak.

The ocean is full of stories and sometimes those can be quiet and reflective, and other times bold and full of life. Its moods shift constantly, gentle one moment, unexpected and boisterous the next.

We found ourselves drawn to these contrasting moods of the sea whilst creating, and they inspired two very different mixed media collections that we’d love to share with you today

Nantucket by Lynn, embraces the spirited, vibrant energy of the water and is full of movement and bold colour.

Stories of fun . . .

And stories of adventure . . .

Whilst Brine by Rachel, explores the other side of the ocean - raw, elemental and stripped back. It leans into that feeling you can’t find anywhere else - standing at the edge of everything, where the world is pared down to just you and the tide and the present moment.

It encourages stories of pause . . .

Stories of wonder . . .

And stories of escapism . . .

Both collections include rich layered textures and thoughtful little details, and are waiting to help you tell your own stories of spirited journeys, fun times and your moments of pause and wonder.
